For_Love_Of_Mother-NotSF Signal has a list of 114 SF, fantasy, and horror e-books for $3.99 or less—all using SF Signal’s Amazon affiliate URL, of course. It seems like linking to lots of Amazon e-books with a referral bonus is a cheap and easy way for high-traffic blogs to rake in a lot of money.

Still, it was interesting and useful to know that 2001 is on sale for $1.99 right now, or Alan Dean Foster’s For Love of Mother-Not is only 99 cents. Among over a hundred others.

It’s worth noting, though, that some of those books are public-domain titles being sold for money. For example, the Halcyon Classics E. E. “Doc” Smith editions can be found via public-domain sites like Project Gutenberg, Manybooks, or LibriVox for audio editions.

Needless to say, at least some of these are sale prices that will no longer be valid in a few days, so grab any you want while they’re still good.

If you should feel like giving TeleRead a little boost, by the way, replace the “sfsi0c-20” in a given e-book’s URL from that article with “tebrtheboho-20” and reload it. But don’t feel obligated—we’ve never really done all that well with Amazon affiliate bonuses over the years, ourselves.
