Clip image002That’s an article on Kindle Cases. They’ve actually managed to come up with 50 different ideas for home-made Kindle cases. Some of them are rather silly, but some of them are quite clever as well. For each case they give the source of the idea.

How about a case made of a grocery bag, or an atlas, sock, oriental silk, magazine or old jeans? They require some craftsmanship, but it’s fun to page through the ideas.

  1. A bit over a decade ago, appointment books were the rage. At thrift stores you can find nice, leather-bound ones for about five dollars. Remove the ring binder with a drill or screwdriver, and the larger ones make attractive Kindle and iPad carrying cases. Since they don’t look like expensive gadget cases, they don’t attract thieves. Not as girly as crochet either.
