Acer Liquid Jade PrimoMicrosoft created some waves with its recent demo of Continuum for Phones on its Windows 10 Lumia 950 and 950 XL devices, which turned them into mini-portable PCs. Acer may be about to go one better. Its new Liquid Jade Primo Windows 10 phone may be first to market with Continuum for Phones on board. The device also “ships with keyboard, mouse and docking station to really use it as a PC phone right from day 1,” according to an Acer tweet.

Acer first announced the device in September at IFA Berlin 2015, but without a working model. However, it has now displayed a sample device at a Windows 10 Day in Taiwan, with what looks like its own dock. Another tweet asserted: “Jade Primo confirms Acer commitment to Windows 10 devices.”

A likely partner for the new Microsoft Display Dock, when not using its own, the Liquid Jade Primo reportedly sports a 5.5-inch 1,920×1,080-pixel full-HD AMOLED display. But its performance on the big screen is what people will likely be watching for. The exact release date isn’t clear, but speculation is that this may be before year end. If so, it’ll certainly bring the advent of the mobile phone-based PC one step nearer.
