Amazon has released more of its frustratingly nonspecific sales non-figures, telling CNet that it continues selling “well over 1 million Kindle devices per week,” and the Kindle Fire is still its best-ever-selling product. CNet spoke to Carter Nicholas, CEO of market research firm eDataSource, and he verified that they had seen “an uptick in Kindle Fire sales”.

However, it seems that people still prefer the e-ink-based Kindles for longer reading. Amazon reports that it’s seen many customers buy both a Kindle Fire and an e-ink Kindle together.

Of course, this is the time of year when Amazon can expect to sell the most devices. The lower-priced Kindles have gotten down to the point where they will make great Christmas gifts even for those on a budget. It will be interesting to see what sales look like in three or four months.
