Steve Jobs has perpetrated another email response, saying in three letters and a period that the 3G iPad will be in Best Buy on its April 30th launch day. (If brevity is the soul of wit, Mr. Jobs must be one of the wittiest people ever.)

Of course, there’s no guarantee Best Buy will have enough iPads to meet demand. My Best Buy in Springfield, Missouri got 90 wifi iPads on their launch day, and had sold all but two by the end of the day.

Meanwhile, two iPod Touch prototypes sporting cameras briefly appeared on eBay. The auctions were promptly taken down, but there’s no stopping the pictures from spreading. The pictures include identifying serial numbers, so I have little doubt someone at Apple is going to get fired soon, if they haven’t been already.

Some insane intrepid soul has ported Android to the iPhone. I’d like to be able to say someone else got Windows XP running on his iPad, too, just for the symmetry of the thing, but it turns out just to be a virtual desktop application like VNC.

Finally, it appears that iPhones have another benefit than just being able to read e-books. Apparently women are more likely to give their number to and go out with someone with an iPhone.

“There’s just something about a man who’s good with computers that makes him more trustworthy,” said Lucy, a 23-year-old primary school teacher from London, in the press release. “If he’s got the cash for an iPhone then he must be very good at his job, too.”

Oookay.
