Received an email from Bookeen stating:

Cybook.jpg Bookeen is delighted to announce the cutting down of the Cybook Gen3 reselling price. The retail price has indeed been significantly reduced on many of the resellers’ websites. Meanwhile, the distributors and resellers’ network is steadily flourishing not only in Europe but also in North America. After WHSmith in the UK, many other leading brands have decided to resell the Cybook. It is now possible to buy the Cybook from Pixmania in Europe, from BooksOnBoard in the US, from Archambault in Canada, and many others. Special Christmas offers are proposed by different resellers.

I have been unable to locate anying telling me just how much this reduction actually is, but BooksOnBoard is selling it for $259.

However if you go over to the Bookeen website you’ll see that the Cybook is sold out. So Amazon isn’t the only one!! From the Bookeen site: Due to continuing heavy customer demand, Cybook Gen3 is sold out again. Because orders are prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis, please order now to reserve your place in line. We will e-mail you with an estimated delivery date as soon as we have more information.

Earlier we published an article that speculated that the lack of units from Amazon was due to a shortage of displays. It’s interesting that Bookeen is having supply problems too.
