It will weigh one pound, have a 7″ 800×600 TFT color touch screen, be spill resistant, video capable. No mention is made in the specs of what format ebooks it will read.

Also the site mentions a $200 color ereader with the same screen running Android 2.0. It will have a built-in dictionary, notepad, calendar, alarm clock, contacts and other apps. Their specs say that it will have 10+ hours of life and 24+ hours of standby. It will support Epub, PDF, TXT, PDB and HTML. Books will be available from the Borders ebook library. They are taking orders now and the unit is supposed to ship in early September.

According to the site Cruz will be selling through Borders, Best Buy, CompUSA, Bi-Mart, Costco, Fry’s, Newegg, O, Sears and Tiger Direct.
