Nook HD+Did you miss out on last month’s Barnes & Noble deal bundling every purchased Nook HD+ tablet with a free Nook Simple Touch e-reader? Well, I wouldn’t sweat it too much, seeing as Walmart is now offering the same Nook HD+ as part of an equally as lucrative promotional offer.

Every 9-incher purchased via the retailer’s website gets you a free $70 eGift Card that you can then use at Walmart.com, Samsclub.com or in Walmart and Sam’s Club brick and mortar stores. The gift card doesn’t have an expiration date and it can be used towards the purchase of any product, but of course you can’t trade it in for cash.

Before anything though, you’ll have to pick either the 16 GB Nook HD+ tab, or the version with 32 GB of on-board storage. The former is $269, while the latter is $299, with both slates sporting sensational Full HD 1,920 x 1,080 pix res displays.

Other features include a dual-core 1.5 GHz TI OMAP processor, microSD support, 1 GB of RAM, Wi-Fi and a skinned version of Android with no Google Play access. Not exactly worth 270 bucks these days, but if you’re a compulsive Walmart buyer and take advantage of this deal, it’ll be like getting the tab for $200. And that’s certainly a lot better.
