It’s a TeleRead Giveaway!

The name of author and entrepreneur Guy Kawasaki has held a lot of weight for a long time in the go-go-go entrepreneurial start-up scene—especially among the tech community in Silicon Valley, where Kawasaki lives, works, and cranks out book after book about social media, marketing, the entrepreneurial mindset, and succeeding wildly at business ventures large or small.Guy Kawasaki

But with the recent publication of his latest tome, APE: Author, Publisher, Entrepreneur – How to Publish a Book, Kawasaki has ventured into the realm of digital self-publishing. He describes the book as a “comprehensive and realistic guide to self-publishing,” and if you’re interested in putting out an e-book of your own, this is one handbook you absolutely, definitely want to have in your arsenal.

Kirkus Book Reviews calls APE an “indispensable guide,” and “essential reading (and reference) for modern authors, regardless of experience.” Marketing guru and self-publishing whiz Seth Godin says the book offers “nuts, bolts, and inspiration too.” Former Random House editorial director Jason Epstein says, “This book will become the standard guide to this new publishing universe.”

But here’s the really exciting part: For our first TeleRead Giveaway of 2013, Kawasaki has kindly agreed to donate three fantastic prizes to three lucky readers. Here’s what you can win:

  1. I’ve been working with a partner to learn the publishing and marketing side of promoting books and we’ve launched a few new initiatives over the past year. I would love to learn some new ways to bring all of the pieces together as we begin to launch new books this year.

  2. I created Hooked on Salmon: from store to plate. Hooked is a buying, cooking, and recipe guide for the home cook who wants to eat sustainable seafood. Hooked is the first in a series on sustainable seafood species.

I bought APE and love it, but I’m freaking out about the conversion. I’d love (and need) the Google+ Hangout with Guy.

  3. The self-published World of Godsland fantasy series currently includes six volumes: Call of the Herald, Inherited Danger, Dragon Ore, Regent, Feral, and Regal. Between the free ebooks and free serialized audiobooks, the series has garnered over a million downloads and has driven enough paid sales to allow me to become a full-time self-published writer.

Building an author platform, driving traffic, and enhancing visibility and discoverability have been among my greatest challenges and triumphs. I would love a Google+ hangout with Guy Kawasaki, which could allow us to share the empowerment and vast landscape of opportunity available to the Author, Publisher, Entrepreneur. Thank you.

  4. Hey, I’m not interested in winning the book, I bought it since day One 🙂 Writting is a book is something but I’m looking to write a book that will inspire and makes reader wants to change the World for real and not only in their heads.
I would love to talk about that with You Guy!
