google-incs-goog-new-security-chief-views-security-and-privacy-as-complemenSecurity is important, and Google is offering a special premium for making sure you have it. To mark Safer Internet Day 2016, Google is offering to add 2 GB of extra storage to your Google Drive account in return for you spending a couple of minutes to run through your Google account security settings and make sure everything looks kosher.

The storage space is apparently promotional and expires after two years—but even so, not a bad deal for taking a few minutes to check and make sure your security settings are up to date. It would also be a good opportunity to enable two-factor authentication if you don’t already use it (and you should use it). If you need to know how much space you currently have, you can check it out at Google’s drive storage page.
