The Publishers Association Statistics Yearbook is reporting that digital sales increased 27% over the two years to 2009, says the Bookseller. This represents 4-5% of the combined physical and digital sales of UK publishers.
In general consumer titles nearly half were from ebook downloads and in trade publishing, which includes fiction, general non-fiction and children’s books, ebooks showed a threefold increase.
