re: comparative screens
Perhaps commonalities between phosphor and electrophor display are clouding any distinctions. They are both glass surfaces with reflections and smearing. They are both hand held devices without variable, manipulative navigation associated with paper books. They both have momentary page redraw routines beyond reader control.
Last month, I bought a new Nook. I tested them all in the store and found that the tablet was much easier for me to read than the eInk display. I was much surprised.
