nook-sales-good_thumbnail.jpgGizmodo is reporting that Barnes & Noble will be introducing a lower cost Nook with Wi-Fi only by the end of the second quarter. It supposedly will sell for $199.

In addition there is supposed to be a v1.4 software update coming next week, via Wi-Fi, which will include a browser.

Let’s see what happens. One of the comments to the article says: A browser? Really? I can’t even browse my book selection smoothly. This is going to be a train wreck. This is coming from someone who loves the Nook (as much as one can with its shortcomings like useless highlighting and notes capability that don’t work).
