From the press release:

Barnes & Noble has updated its popular, free NOOK for Android app, bringing NOOK Comics to Android tablet customers. With the version 3.1 update, Android tablet users can now access Barnes & Noble’s expansive collection of comics, graphic novels and manga on their 7- to 10-inch devices (Android OS 2.2 and newer).

With exciting graphics in stunning color that virtually jump off the page, NOOK Comics enables customers to explore favorite super heroes and characters in landscape and portrait and pinch and zoom to dive into even the tiniest details of the action. Barnes & Noble’s vast selection of NOOK Comics features the largest digital collection of Marvel’s graphic novels available through a third party, as well as titles from other leading publishers including Archie, IDW, Dynamite and Dark Horse. In addition to NOOK Comics, customers can access their favorite NOOK Books, magazines and newspapers, right from their Android device, taking their digital library wherever they go.

The updated NOOK for Android will also bring NOOK Shop enhancements, allow customers to easily add and edit default account credit card information, un-archive content with a single tap in NOOK Library, and other improvements.

Barnes & Noble customers can “Read What You Love, Anywhere You Like,” by accessing Barnes & Noble’s expansive NOOK Bookstore from their NOOK Tablet, NOOK Color, NOOK Simple Touch and mobile and computing devices supporting free NOOK software. More information on NOOK for Android v3.1 is available at www.bn.com/nookforandroid <http://www.bn.com/nookforandroid> or customers can download the new version from the Android Market (“Google Play”).
