Orange is partnering with mobile book specialist GoSpoken this year to offer free downloadable extracts of the shortlisted books direct to your mobile. Text extracts from all six shortlisted books will be available to download for free from today by texting ‘prize’ to 60300 from any UK mobile.

The shortlist is: Rosie Alison, The Very Thought of You; Barbara Kingsolver, The Lacuna; Attica Locke, Black Water Rising; Hilary Mantel, Wolf Hall; Lorrie Moore, A Gate at the Stairs; Monique Roffey, The White Woman on the Green Bicycle.
