Wireless broadbandWhat if wireless broadband went on steroids and the service used the space between TV channels on much lower frequencies in the spectrum than the current WiFi?

Imagine the boost for e-books–since this would drive down the cost of wireless and make it more practical for rural areas.

E-book shopping would be easier, and it would be more practical to read books with simple portable terminal devices, if that’s what you wanted (E Book museums should not be the only alternative). Consider, too, the benefits for schools and libraries.

That’s why a proposed broadband service, discussed in eSchool News, could be of interest.
