quick note.pngAccording to Quill & Quire:

University of Ottawa professor Michael Geist is reporting that the Canadian iBookstore is being reviewed by the federal government under the country’s cultural investment policy. According to Privy Council Office documents, an order authorizing the review was filed on Aug. 20.

  1. Sure hope the federal review is positive and we get to see more books in Canada. Not many books to select there now. Let’s hope the current govt is co-operative and like their Amazon decision and their cell phone providers decision keep the Canadian customer in mind and give us choices and not restrictions. Time to enter the “modern” world. I’ll even vote Conservative next election if they do something good for ebook readers in Canada.
