Something about my Flipboard post from two days ago seems to attracted the spam bots in droves. For the last two days, the site has been receiving more than 100 spam comments an hour. It seems to be slowing down a bit (maybe only 75 an hour now), so I expect it to die down in a few more days.

I do have a habit of scrolling through the spam folder a couple of times a day to see if some legitimate ones have been caught (I usually find one or two), but at the rate the spam comments are coming in, I’ve probably missed a few legitimate comments.

If you left a comment since Monday, and it seems to have vanished, try to leave it again, and send me an email to alert me. I’ll keep an eye out for it.

Apologies to everyone. Like my predecessors, my policy is to not delete comments. You’re always welcome to contact me if you think one of yours has been eaten by WordPress.
