Gizmodo has posted lists of the top ten paid and unpaid iPhone and iPad apps of all time. Most of them don’t have a whole lot to do with reading, but there are a couple of interesting exceptions on the iPad lists. On the free list for iPad, iBooks takes the number 8 slot, and Bible takes the number 9; on the paid list, GoodReader is at number 8.
No real sign of reading apps on the iPhone lists, though that just means that other apps were more popular for the form factor. It certainly shows that iPad owners place more of an emphasis on reading.
