AppleTell points out that July 10th marked the two-year anniversary of the launch of the Apple App Store. It’s been a remarkable two years. With hundreds of thousands of apps, the app store has revolutionized the way we look at smartphones.

It’s also done quite a lot for e-book reading. Thanks to all the e-book apps in the store, an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad select from more different sources of e-books to read than just about any other device (except perhaps the PC). Small wonder that e-book device vendors are dropping their prices.
