That is definitely more decorative than functional with all the wasted space. Most serious book fans would admire it then buy one that you could actually fill up with books.
Despite its boring shape, you simply can’t bet the standard rectangular bookcase.
My goal is to replace all of the paper books in my fiction library with eBooks. This will leave a few ‘art books’ that contain mostly pictures, and some history and reference books. Something like the model shown in the photo might be just the bookcase for my remaining paper books. Unfortunately, I won’t be down to that low level of paper books for quite a few more years.
