Dan Bloom has appeared numerous times in these pages – both with news from Taiwan and with his anti-electronic reading mantra.
However, Dan just sent me an email which says:
Dan to Paul, here is my first EBOOK,,,,,,only 7 pages long……once afoe of ebooks, I have now seen the light….you can quote me on this////smile….DANNY
Here’s what his publisher, Sunbury Press, has to say:
Sunbury Press has released climate activist Daniel Bloom’s eBook single “Be Resourceful, Protect the Earth: A Virtual Graduation Speech to the Class of 2099”. Profits will be donated to two leading climate change charities: Pew Center on Global Climate Change and Climate Institute.
No! That is not Woody Allen on the cover — rising from the ocean like the Lady of the Lake distributing swords to passing Knights of the Round Table. While some would argue the resemblance is strong and the borrowed regalia somewhat comical, the message is very serious.
Daniel’s timeless (and timely) speech, while short on words, gets right to the point. What will the class of 2099 be dealing with regarding our climate? What can be done now to save them from the fate proposed by many leading climate change experts?
This eBook single contains Daniel’s speech and a link to the corresponding YOUTUBE video. For more information on the book please see:

The publisher will be contribute $1 from each sale, to be split between the Pew Center on Global Climate Change and the Climate Institute. One thing I learned from the press release is that his name is not Dan Bloom, or Danny Bloom, but Daniel Halevi Bloom – learn something new every day.
