Prof: DRM ‘welding the hood shut’

Tarleton Gillespie, a visiting assistant professor at Cornell, gives a clueful overview of the copyright battles, including attacks on fair use. He accuses content providers of “welding the hood shut” and says: “”DRM wants consumers, not users.” Exactly. And less competition, too, for Hollywood and friends.
