A friend sent me an infographic that offers an ‘ABC’ of digital literacy which I found interesting. It begins with ‘A is for Access; B is for Bias…’ and goes from there.
I appreciated that they included ‘educator’ and ‘librarian’ amongst their alphabet of options. We forget sometimes that even in this age of the e-info smorgasbord, we still need people to help guide our learning and our media choices. I especially miss our former school library specialist (cut for budgetary reasons some years ago) at this time of year, when part of the end-of-school cleanup involves shelving the towering pile of returned library books!
