But all too often, the old “Where do you want to go today?” still sounds like “War is peace.” Tinsel Town owns content, Congress and the copyright laws, but, to some extent, Hollywood’s piracy fears are just an excuse for Microsoft to exercise its usual control fixation even if honest users suffer along the way. Oh, and what about the L Word? Simply put, Microsoft wouldn’t mind screwing up Linux multimedia and maybe making a few extra bucks off DRM technology. On the positive: Delighted to see Microsoft folks doing a Tablet PC blog. A good place to float the idea of e-book standards at the consumer level? Meanwhile hats off to Microsoft for sticking with the Tablet PC concept.
Maybe the fine folks at the tablet PC blog will reveal what happened to the ill-fated MSREADER team, which went missing even before they supported the whole OEBPS standard.
