The Mercury News has an interview with Gary. He opposed Microsoft in the past, and now he is opposing Google. In the interview he says that Google is, in some ways, scarier because it is dealing with confidential data in a way Microsoft never did.
Q You did battle with Microsoft in the 1990s. Is Google the new Microsoft?
A In some ways no, but in some ways, unfortunately, yes. I have to say the amount of power that Google has acquired, while nobody was paying attention, is downright scary.
