ALA tech blogHere, from LibraryJournal.com. To what extent do libraries own content in digital collections? Oh, how the “depends” go on! An unwary library might need to shell out increasingly high fees to allow already-purchased content to circulate. The inspiration for the LJ blog item is an ALA TechSource Blog post by Jenny Levine, who mentions the topics in the tags below–picked up from her item.

An aside: No one or nothing–no machines–can play tag like knowledgeable humans working as librarians. I was amused to see a Topix category at one point mixing Origami, as in Japanese paper-folding, with Origami the Microsoft rumor. But it now looks as if the techies have displayed the paper folders for the moment.
