images.jpegWe’ve already told you how the Blyth Academy in Toronto is replacing textbooks with Sony Readers for 170 students (thanks, Ficbot!). Now comes a Publishers Weekly story. It says the school will keep its library of printed books and the students will still read fiction in the printed versions. One reason the Sony was chosen over the Kindle was that the users could convert books to Sony format themselves, rather than sending the books to Amazon for conversion. Also the school said that Sony, with its connection to Google, has more books than Amazon.
