images.jpegWe are not the only ones looking at electronic textbooks. The China Post is reporting that the Ministry of Education in Taiwan has chosen five schools to pilot “electronic schoolbags”. This is basically a laptop with handouts and textbooks saved in electronic form.

According to the principal of the Jinan Elementary School students using them have been making improvements in typing speed and using search engines, as well as being in a better mood during class. However, some parents feel that users of the schoolbags are spending less time playing outdoors with friends.
