According theBookseller Mills and Boon, a British subsidiary of Harlequin, has just converted 200 titles to ebook form and intends to continue with the conversion of 70 titles a month.
Looking through the Mills and Boon site, I notice that the books will be in EPUB format and will require Adobe Digital Editions. Their ebook FAQ is available here.
Their FAQ says EPUB, but they also say that the ebooks are readable on Palm OS Hand Helds. The is only the case for Adobe PDF ebooks. Adobe EPUBs are limited to Windows, Mac and Sony PRS-505.
Actually Alan, ePub is also readable on:
– Linux, using Openberg or FBReader.
– iPhone/iPod, using Stanza
– Anything with a web browser, using Bookworm
– Various handhelds using FBReader or (indirectly) Mobipocket (and I’m pretty sure Mobipocket supports Palm.. but I’m not sure…)

DRM-free ePubs can certainly be read on many devices, but Secure Adobe ePubs can only be read by Adobe Digital Editions. If Mills and Boon ebooks are DRM-free that would be welcome news, but their FAQ definitely implies they have Adobe DRM.
