Threepress Consulting has an immediate opening for a JavaScript and Python software engineer on a full-time, 4 month contract. You will be joining our small team to develop our HTML5 ereading platform, Ibis Reader (http://ibisreader.com/). If mutually desirable this would become a permanent position.
Ibis Reader was launched in February, 2010 and provides offline ebook reading and cloud syncing on HTML5-capable mobile devices and any web-connected computer or smartphone. The code base is being actively licensed by other parties and we need to grow the team to continue to enhance the platform.
Candidates must be proficient in Python and JavaScript.
Our software and development stack:
* Django
* jQuery
* Mercurial
* Selenium
* Nose
At this time we are only looking for candidates who are in the Boston metro area and would be available for occasional in-person meetings. Otherwise you will be working remotely. The extensive functional testing suite requires OSX (we can provide you with a laptop if necessary).
