Just got a press release from Kobo saying that their ereader is available for pre-order at Borders online and will ship in June. It will run $149.99. The Reader will come pre-loaded with 100 classic books. More info here.

A little to late…? I would think they would want to partner up with Apple or Android and just develop an app instead of trying to reinvent the wheel….
Border is launching in Australia on May 19 – the first time ever Aussies got anything ebook-related before the US. Since both are owned/licensed by REDGroup in AU and NZ, Kobo is also launching in Australasia on the same day. Both will sell Kobo reader.
