As Engadget puts it, the Sungale Cyberus tries to be both an e-book reader and a personal media player. The article is too short to draw any conclusions about whether it succeeds—it is just a look at the device’s capabilities, not its actual performance—but it is at least intriguing.
The Cyberus is a 7” 800×480 LCD device that implements “most popular multimedia and ebook formats” as well as having integrated WiFi. Retail price is $279.
From the article, it looks like an interesting device, and I imagine it will show movies nicely too—but there is no indication of how much storage it will have, or exactly which formats it will handle.
It sounds too good to be true at US$279.
So how does $239 sound?

One click, two posts? Sorry!
I can imagine that this device cannot get very far from a wall plug. Note that the battery charge life is not stated.
