sonyreader-505s Huang Ying was “interested in e-book readers for quite a while. But after trying” the Hanline V3, which has a six-inch screen, “I found it is almost useless to read normal PDF files on these machines. The font size is too small, while the page size is too wide.”

His solution? A PDF-to-image program that juggles around the characters so they can make better use of the screen. And now he’s wondering if the same idea might work on Sony Readers.
