image I got my last paper issue of PC Magazine today. From now on, it’ll be all digital.

Hint, hint, hint to the book industry. You may treat e-books casually now—and hobble them with DRM  and price gouges, while thinking, “Who cares? People can always buy paper books to keep forever.” But what happens when, like the magazine, you have no choice but to go digital all the way?

  1. Needless to say, I was not happy by this decision of PC Mag. The absolutely one thing I really hate — more so than watching TV — is being forced to read for pleasure on my computer. I have a long-term subscription to PC Mag that will now go to waste because I simply won’t bother reading it online. If they made it for my Sony Reader, I’d give it a try, but otherwise I’ll pass.
