iphoneibooksEngadget notes that those who have already upgraded their eligible iPhones or iPod Touches to iOS 4 are starting to receive notifications that the iBooks app is available to download for their devices—though they apparently have to download via iTunes rather than through the on-device updater.

Of course, my iPod Touch was ineligible for iOS 4 even before it got lost, so I’ll have to wait a bit longer to check it out.
