TeleRead has learned that Adobe will be releasing an update to the Digital Editions client application for reading and managing eBooks. Digital Editions 1.7.2 provides compatibility for new operating systems, including Windows 7 (32- and 64-bit) and Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard, 32- and 64-bit), in addition to other enhancements.

Wonder if it will add compatibility with Adobe/B&N style ePub DRM or if that’s coming in a later update.
Or if they’ll try to fix the broken DRM
And if they’ll finally support RTL languages such as Hebrew.
It’s funny and strange that Adobe does not support properly a valid ePub…
So it’s now available, and it’s (as the versioning implies) just a minor bug fix release, that handles a small set of bugs reported by users as well as adding better support for Windows 7 and Mac OS X 10.6.
