The Kobo was selling at Borders for $149 and the Aluratek for selling at $119. Well, according to CrunchGear, Borders has dropped the price of the Kobo to $129 and the Aluratek to $99.
They also announced Velocity Micro’s Android based Cruz Reader and Cruz Tablet at $199 and $299, respectively.
Also, it looks like Kindle will be heading to staples:

The second article also has some interesting Forrester sales estimates for both the Kindle and the nook. Actual numbers! They don’t say how they got them, though.
Seems like Borders’s Micro Cruz is almost a smaller version of the iPad. Will be interesting to see how it actually run. The price drop in the Kobo was a smart move to get some traction, but the Kindle still has the edge in stand alone e-readers.
